The annual Redneck Games and Crockpot Stew Contest is set for Saturday, Nov. 16 at the Alamo Mission Museum grounds. Booths open at 9 a.m.

The Crockpot Stew Contest entries can be cooked off site and brought to the event. All registration and entries must be turned in no later than 11 a.m. with an entry fee of $10. Winners for the contest will be announce at noon with quarts of the top stews auctioned to the highest bidder. Plaques will be awarded to first and second place finishers in two divisions, chicken and beef.

The Pumpkin Bake Off will follow the same time line as the stew contest. Any bake item with pumpkin used as a base can be entered into the contest. The cost to enter is $10 per item entered.

The Redneck Games are 1-6 p.m. Games included are board race, wheel barrow, redneck horse shoes; pumpkin chunkin; tug o war, outhouse race, greased pig chase, jalapaino eating contest, a Mr. and Mrs. Redneck award (peoples choice voting), and mustache, full beard and partial beard contest. Winners will be recognized.
