The Mount Vernon Rotary Club will celebrate their 75th anniversary of Rotary in Mount Vernon with a dinner honoring current and past Rotarians, Paul Harris Fellows named by the club, and Rotary Scholars.

Watch this site and the local newspaper, the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald, for details about the upcoming event.

In addition to touting the accomplishments of the club over the past 75 years, the event will serve as a fund raising event to continue funding incentive scholarships for local students. Each year the club contracts with up to 20 Mount Vernon Junior High eighth grade graduates to provide them tuition to NTCC. In order to receive that incentive scholarship, the student must stay in school at MVHS, keep a B average, stay out of trouble with the law, and be active in the community through membership and participation with the MVHS Rotary Interact Club, made up of local students.
