A public comment meeting regarding the Franklin County Hazard Mitigation Plan Five-Year Update will be held Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the commissioner’s courtroom, located in the Franklin County Courthouse in Mount Vernon, Texas. Mitigation Actions for Franklin County and the participating jurisdictions will be reviewed at this time. Hazard Mitigation is defined as any sustained action taken to reduce or eliminate the long-term risk to life and property from hazard events.
Public input regarding the plan will be welcome at this meeting. To ensure enough handouts are available, please RSVP by calling Don Shipp, Hazard Mitigation Planner, Ark-Tex Council of Governments at 903-255-3535. |
