Watermelon Day is Friday, Aug. 2

Free ice cold watermelon will be served to the public beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2 on the square in Mount Vernon.

Practice begins Monday for Miss Mount Vernon Pageant

Practices for the 51st annual Miss Mount Vernon Scholarship Pageant will begin Monday, July 29 and will continue nightly for two weeks.
