Children’s Valentine workshop at CAC

Viola featured in Saturday concert

Viola and Friends, a celebration of music for the “middle child” of the violin family, will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, in Mount Vernon Music Hall, 402 Leftwich at Yates street.

Brunch, meeting kicks off 20th anniversary

The 20th year of the Franklin County Arts Alliance will be kicked off with an annual membership meeting and brunch from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, January 3 at the Cultural Arts Center.

Bigony watercolors exhibited at Frame Up

An exhibit of work by award winning artist Ron Bigony is now on display at the Frame Up Fine Arts Gallery at 204 W. Main St. in Mount Vernon. “We encourage everyone to stop by and see these incredible pieces of work,” gallery owner Charlotte Chaney said.

Arts Alliance selects officers, kicks off 20th anniversary

Sandy Dennis, Michelle Chitsey, Christian Galloway, Jean Pamplin, Nicki Armstrong,  Linda Bolton, David Stinson, and Ronnie Barnard will serve as Arts Alliance officers for 2015.Approximately 30 members of the Franklin County Arts Alliance gathered Saturday, January 3 to kick off the 20th anniversary year for the organization. A potluck brunch was served with a strawberry crepe cake as the center of the celebration.

Annual meeting kicks off 20th year

The Franklin County Arts Alliance will provide a cake to begin a year-long celebration of the organization’s 20th year anniversary in combination with its annual membership meeting.
