Queen contestants offer tickets

Contestants in the 2015 Franklin County Sheriff’s Posse’s queen competition are offering tickets to help pay expenses related to the contest. The public is invited to the Rodeo Queen Contest Dinner for the speech and modeling competition.

Third runner up

Kaylee FiteKaylee Fite competed at the National American Miss pageant, also known as the Miss Texas Teen pageant, in Dallas. She placed third runner up out of 137 candidates.

Art workshop, picnic, and story hour set

The final free Children’s Summer Art sessions will be Saturday, August 15. The class will be at the at the Cultural Arts Center, located at 100 Rusk St., one block west of the courthouse.
