Coloring parties set at local library

A pair of Coloring with Friends parties, one for teens and one for adults, has been scheduled this week at the Franklin County Library. Coloring enthusiasts are encouraged to attend.

Texana Living History to present program

First responders to be honored

Members of the Franklin County Arts Alliance will be honoring fire fighters, police and medical personnel from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, February 12. That will be the last day of their First Repsonder Exhibit.

Short story contest open to area writers

The Northeast Texas Writers Organization (NETWO) is sponsoring the Jory Sherman Short Story Contest for all interested writers. Membership in the organization is not required to enter.

Readers visiting Franklin County Library during the month of February will be offered “blind dates” with books. Like a true blind date, readers who check out a special “blind date” book won’t know the title or author of their book.
