Klezmer music tradition inspires concert this week

Mount Vernon Music invites the public to a program of Klezmer inspired music at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, February18 in the Music Hall at 402 Leftwich St. in Mount Vernon.

Glass painting class set

The Franklin County Arts Alliance is offering a Valentine’s themed glass painting class. Carolyn Galloway will be the instructor for the class that will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 11.

Oasis Saxophone Quartet, Nathan Nabb, James Bunte, Dave Camwell, and James RomainMembers of the Oasis Saxophone Quartet, Nathan Nabb, James Bunte, Dave Camwell, and James Romain, performed original music and arrangements of classical masterworks by Bach, Dvořák and Mozart.

Reception for artist Paris Friday

Deborah Paris will be honored during the opening of an exhibit of her art work capturing scenes of Franklin County’s Daphne Prairie at the Old Fire Station Museum from 5 to 8 p.m Friday, February 3.

Reception to open Daphne Prairie exhibit next week

An exhibit of works by American landscape painter Deborah Paris created on or about 925 acres of native Texas prairie in Franklin County will be featured in an exhibit at the Old Fire Station Museum.
