Powerful music

Orchard Ensemble members up to the challenge were Mark Miller, violinist, far left pianist Evan Mitchell, violist Ute Miller, and chellist Nikola Ruzevic. A pensive and moving performance of Braham’s op. 8 and Beetoven’s Sinfonia ‘Eroica’ op. 55 was performed at Mount Vernon Music Hall Sunday afternoon.

Year-long exhibit renovation unveiled at ribbon cutting

A ribbon cutting ceremony was performed on Saturday, Oct. 8  to celebrate the re-opening of the Cotton Belt Depot Museum.Mount Vernon’s historic Cotton Belt Depot Museum has undergone a major face lift during the past year and was rolled out for all to see with a ribbon cutting Saturday.

Locals win Titus County Fair titles
