Cub, Boy Scout rally tonight

The annual School Night Rally to sign up new recruits for Boy Scout troops and Cub Scout dens has changed from for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 5 to Tuesday, October 3. It will still at the Mount Vernon Elementary School Cafetorium.

Fish for a good cause

Joy Rutledge, Kathy Moore, and Pat Cupp dish up fish and all the fixings at the annual United Way Fish Fry. Members of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Masonic Lodge were hosts for the event on Saturday, August 31. Approximately 150 people were served during the event and almost $1,800 was raised for the United Way of Franklin County.Joy Rutledge, Kathy Moore, and Pat Cupp dish up fish and all the fixings at the annual United Way Fish Fry.
