“Book of Luke” production Sunday

Less than 100 tickets remain for the production of the Book of Luke that will be presented Sunday, March 29 at 4 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Mount Vernon.

Advance circus tickets help child welfare board and posse

The circus is coming to town March 30. This year, the Carson and Barnes Circus will help raise funds for the Franklin County Child Welfare Board and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Posse.

Bake-off at the County Seat

Yeager to coordinate regional 4H contest

Lindsey Yeager, Franklin County’s Family and Consumer Science Extension Agent through the AgriLife Extension Service, reported to members of the Franklin County Commissioners Court that she had been selected to coordinate the 2016 Regional 4H Cooking competition.

Computer classes start Tuesday

The Franklin County Library will begin a series of basic computer classes at 5:30 p.m. April 1. The six-week series of classes will be each Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
