A special luminaria ceremony during the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Franklin and Wood Counties remembers those lost to cancer and honors those who have battled and won.

Egg hunt planned at Alamo

The Alamo Mission Museum will be the location of an egg hunt and games on Easter Sunday, April 16. A hot dog meal can be purchased, games will follow lunch, and then the egg hunt. For details, see the April 6 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.

Banks-Barton reunion Sunday

The annual Banks-Barton family reunion will be Sunday, April 16 at the Hagansport Community Center at the crossroads of Hwy. 37 and FM 71.

Bakeoff funds dedicated to Paint Our Town
