IF: Gathering planned Saturday

A third annual IF: Gathering is set in Franklin County on Saturday, March 19. It will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Big Pasture Lodge at 3909 FM 115.

Egg hunt planned at Alamo Mission Museum

The Alamo Mission Museum will be the location of an egg hunt and games on Easter Sunday, March 27. Attendees will have the opportunity to cook their own hotdogs over a campfire

MOM meeting next week

The MOM (Ministering Our Military) support group will have its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. next Thursday, March 17. The meeting will be at Pilgrim Bank, located at 2401 S. Jefferson St. in Mount Pleasant.

State 42 players

Erika Littrell and her father, Gary Mobley, both of SaltilloErika Littrell and her father, Gary Mobley, both of Saltillo, teamed up to claim second place in the 2016 Texas State 42 Domino tournament this week in Hallettsville, Texas. Approximately 80 teams participated in the tournament.

iPad classes at library

The staff at the Franklin County Library will be providing a series of iPad classes. The classes will provide information about the basics of iPads, their use, and downloading and using apps.

Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday

Daylight Saving Time is set to begin at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 13.  People should set their clocks forward one hour before going to bed Saturday night to avoid being late for church or other events.
