Camp Meeting at Calvary Monday

A Labor Day Camp Meeting will be at Calvary Baptist Temple Monday, September 3, beginning at 9 a.m. Preaching and singing will continue all day with lunch provided at noon.

4-H members attend camp

Destiny Barron, Coy and Dailee  Postell, and Dylan Hunnicutt.Four Franklin County 4-H Club members recently attended Multi County Camp in Lone Star. More than 100 4-H members and adult leaders represented the Texas 4-H organization at the three-day camp.

Fish-fry planned for Labor Day Weekend

The annual Labor Day Weekend fish-fry and kick-off for the annual United Way of Franklin County pledge drive has been set for Saturday, September 1 from 5 to 7 p.m at the Masonic Lodge in Mount Vernon on the south service road of I-30.
