Members of the Mighty Tiger Marching Band began band camp on Monday, August 1.Members of the Mighty Tiger Marching Band began band camp on Monday, August 1. Participating in the first day of practice were 83 students. Camp will continue through Friday, August 12.

Pre-register kindergarten students now

Parents are urged to pre-register their kindergarten and pre-kindergarten students now. The staff at Mount Vernon Elementary School is planning classes now and needs an accurate head count as soon as possible.

Alphin named to Dean’s List

Jace Alphin was named to the College of the Ozarks spring 2016 Dean’s List. To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must maintain a 3.6 minimum grade point average during the semester and carry at least 15 credit hours.
