Sheriff’s Posse honored by local 4-H Club

Recognition and awards were presented to members and adult  leaders/supporters at the annual Franklin County 4-H Banquet Oct. 4.Members of the Sheriff’s Posse of Franklin County were honored by the youth of the Franklin County 4-H Club for their support and leadership to the club and its members during the organization’s annual awards banquet Monday, October 7.

FAFSA application assistance offered

A Financial Aid Day has been planned at Mount Vernon High School from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday October 2. Parents and students who need assistance completing their FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are welcome to attend.

The annual Mount Vernon / Saltillo Young Farmer’s Hay Show will be at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, October. 5, at the Young Farmers Livestock Pavilion on FM 115.
