Clean up efforts continue with free refuse disposal

Clean-up efforts with free disposal of refuse in the City of Mount Vernon and Franklin County Commissioner Pct. 4 will continue through Saturday, May 2, with county commissioners in Pcts. 1, 2,  and 3 opening their drop-off sites Saturday. For details about each location, see the April 30 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.

Home delivered meals for seniors supported by grant

The Ark-Tex Area Agency on Aging received $276,803 to fund home delivered meal for seniors age 60 and older impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
