Fireworks on the lake Saturday, keep access clear

Students honor first responders

Local law enforcement personnel and first responders were asked to arrive at the church with their lights and sirens turned on.  The men and women were then honored by the 225 students during the closing session of the church’s annual Vacation Bible School. They were presented with posters, drinks and snacks.There was not a crisis at the First Baptist Church around noon Friday, June 15. WCEC donates to fire departments

Wood County Electric Cooperative (WCEC) donated $1,000 to each of the four Franklin County volunteer fire departments Tuesday, June 19 as part of their Operation Round Up program.
