Plaza District projects earn statewide recognition

City Administrator Tina Rose, Immediate Past Main Street Chairman Lillie Bush-Reves, Main Street Manager Carolyn Teague, M.L. Edwards and Watermelon Mills project owners and contractors Greg and Shannon Ostertag, Harvest on Main Chairman Jackie Divine-Carlson and her husband, Jack CarlsonMount Vernon’s M.L. Edwards & Co. and Main Street’s Harvest on Main Dinner won awards, while the Plaza District had finalists in two other categories in the Texas Downtown Association (TDA) sponsored President’s Awards Program for 2017.

Winners were announced on Wednesday, November 8, at the awards gala in conjunction with the 2017 Texas Downtown Conference in McKinney. Representatives from Mount Vernon display the awards presented at the Texas Downtown Association President’s Awards Gala. City Administrator Tina Rose, Immediate Past Main Street Chairman Lillie Bush-Reves, Main Street Manager Carolyn Teague, M.L. Edwards and Watermelon Mills project owners and contractors Greg and Shannon Ostertag, Harvest on Main Chairman Jackie Divine-Carlson and her husband, Jack Carlson, were on hand in McKinney for the presentations.
