Summer reading closing ceremonies

John Tutor spoke to the children who participated in the program about a variety of rocks, including geodes and petrified wood.It was a rocking time on the downtown plaza at the closing ceremonies for the annual Summer Reading Program at the Franklin County Library Tuesday, July 24.

John Tutor spoke to the children who participated in the program about a variety of rocks, including geodes and petrified wood. He cut a geode in half during the presentation and provided samples from his collection for the children to get an up close look at the different formations and colors in the rocks.
