A light dusting of snow covered vegetationA light dusting of snow covered vegetation in parts of Franklin County during the overnight hours into Monday, January 11.

A total of 1/2 inch of snow was measured at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency official weather station in Mount Vernon that morning. The roadways were mostly clear, but several motorists found slick areas on bridges.
