Eddie Turner, a U.S. Marine Sgt. Major - Retired, sounded a bell as J. D. Baumgardner, U.S. Navy, read the names of service men for whom flags fly on the downtown Mount Vernon plazaA moment of remembrance was observed on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27 during a ceremony on the downtown Mount Vernon plaza.
