Funding for FEMA road work to be reconsidered

The Franklin County Commissioners Court appeared to have approved $150,000 in funds from the county’s General Fund to be used for materials for the project at it’s Monday morning meeting, with reimbursement expected from Federal Emergency Management (FEMA).

But questions still remain as Pct. 1 Commissioner Jerry Cooper says he will seek a reconsideration of the funding for road repair projects being sought by Pct. 2 Commissioner Larkin Jumper. For the rest of this story, see the April 26 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
