Possibilities explored for hospital building

The Franklin County Commissioners Court met to hear public comments about the future use of the county’s hospital building and property on Hwy. 37 across for the Mount Vernon schools.

There were only two citizens in attendance who were not either an employee of the county or their spouse at the Tuesday, May 29, meeting. At this time, the facility is sitting empty, but is costing the county approximately $5,000 each month for utilities.
