NETEX gets nod from county to build rail terminal

The Northeast Texas Rural Rail Transportation District (NETEX) requested and received authorization to construct a rail terminal in Franklin County at the Monday, August 27 meeting of the Franklin County Commissioners Court.

The rail terminal will be accessible by the current NETEX rail infrastructure and by truck from the I-30 frontage road. The rail district will provide the county with a copy of the warranty deed, the survey of the property, and the site layout over the next few months. See the August 30 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more details.
