Ward secured for audit, meeting schedule changed

The services of Mike Ward Accounting and Financial Consulting, PLLC were secured to perform the City of Mount Vernon’s 2017-18 fiscal year audit and the City Council opted to return regular stated meetings to just once a month with special workshops called as needed.

The council approved a contract with Mr. Ward at a cost of  $12,000. See the September 13 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more about this contract and other action taken during the meeting.
