Franklin County swearing in

left to right, Pct. 4 Commissioner Sam Young, Pct. 2 Commissioner Larkin Jumper, County Treasurer Betty Sue Allen, County Judge Scott Lee, District Clerk Ellen Jaggers, Justice of the Peace Robert Zinn, and County Clerk Betty Crane.Franklin County officials who were elected, or re-elected, during the November 2018 campaign were sworn into office during a ceremony on Tuesday, Jan. 1 in the District Courtroom.

Judge Lanny Ramsay, far right, administered the oath of office to many, and several opted to utilize a Bible that was used to swear in the first county officers in May 1875. Those sworn in were, left to right, Pct. 4 Commissioner Sam Young, Pct. 2 Commissioner Larkin Jumper, County Treasurer Betty Sue Allen, County Judge Scott Lee, District Clerk Ellen Jaggers, Justice of the Peace Robert Zinn, and County Clerk Betty Crane.
