Shotgun purchase questioned, phone maintenance approved

Questions were raised about the proper tracking of funds used to purchase shotguns from 2018 funds in the budget for the constable’s office in the Thursday and

Monday meetings of the Franklin County Commissioners Court, and the library’s phone maintenance contract was approved. The five shotguns were purchased by the constable’s office at a cost of $5,494.40. See the January 17 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for the rest of this story.
