County Road NE 2220 closed due to culvert washout

Frequent rains during the past month have caused flooding in low lying areas of Franklin County and a washout on County Road NE2220 at Cobb Jones Creek.

The washout was reported online by the Optic-Herald from Pct. 2 Commissioner Jerry Cooper early Thursday morning, April 18. That road continues to be impassable due to a culvert washout on one of several crossings for branches of Cobb Jones Creek. See the April 25 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for the rest of this story.
