Jail plumbing needs replacing

Plumbing issues, caused by both aging and constant use, will soon need to be addressed, Sheriff Ricky Jones told members of the Franklin County Commissioners Court at their Monday meeting.

He also shared many of his concerns with members of the Mount Vernon Rotary Club last Friday. The central core of the jail, the 100 wing, which was built in 1992, has been a source of repeated plumbing issues. For more information about the work required at the jail, see the June 13 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
