Repairs to padded cell okayed, 4H Week declared

Franklin County Commissioners Court members authorized the required repairs on the jail’s padded cell and set October 4 through 10 to celebrate National 4-H Week.

The cell has been in use for 20 years with minimal repairs, but a recent inmate tore much of the padding and even consumed some during his stay. For the rest of this story, see the October 1 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
