February reported sales, use taxes up

Mount Vernon and Franklin County sales and use tax reports continue to grow over the same periods reported for the previous year as residents keep more of their purchases close to home during bad weather and the COVID-19 disaster.

The City of Mount Vernon received $96,840.64 in February. This represents an increase of 18.44 percent over the same period for the previous year. Franklin County collected $56,088.36, representing a 7.28 percent increase.
