City considering rebid of trash contract

What appeared to be a done deal at the last workshop became a controversy at the February meeting of the Mount Vernon City Council. The council is considering going out to bid for its trash pick up contract. The matter was tabled until their 5:30 p.m. Feb. 28 Special Meeting and Workshop session.
