School board extends superintendent’s contract

Members of the Mount Vernon ISD Board of Trustees voted to extend by one year the contract for Superintendent Jason McCullough during the January 14 meeting of the board.

Funds reported missing from MVISD Band Booster account

An inconsistency in funds in the Band Boosters account was brought to the attention of Mount Vernon ISD Band Director Barry Tagg and then Superintendent Jason McCullough last week.

Four States Honor Band

Audra Larsen, Daniel Vargas, Karen Alonso, Melanie Barajas, Zane HollandFive members of the Mighty Tiger Band recently qualified for the Four States Honor Band. The will participate in clinics and perform in a concert planned for Jan. 16, 17, and 18 at Texas High School in Texarkana.
