District merges Junior High and Intermediate campuses

Mount Vernon ISD will be merging the Intermediate and Junior High campuses for the 2017-18 school year to become the Middle School.

District to save $1.385 million after refinancing bond debt

During the July meeting of the Mount Vernon ISD board, it was announced that the district will receive $1.385 million in savings following the refinancing of the 2008 capital improvement bond debt.

BILDuP Partnership formed by Lowe’s and Mount Vernon ISD

Eighth grade students recieving BILDuP t-shirts, videos  and testimonials from current Lowe’s employees. Lowe’s and Mount Vernon ISD have joined in a partnership to educate students on various career opportunities and jobs available locally.

Athletic boosters to meet Tuesday

A meeting for the Athletic Booster Club for Mount Vernon ISD will be Tuesday, July 11 at 6 p.m. Those interested in supporting the atheltic department are urged to attend.

Summer Feed ongoing at MVISD

The summer feeding program at Mount Vernon ISD is now underway in conjunction with the annual summer school and will continue through Thursday, June 26.
