STAAR testing raises concerns

Approximately 30 parents attended an informational meeting about the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) testing Thursday, Jan. 26 in the high school dining hall. The STAAR tests will be replacing the Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness or TAKS. For more information, see the February 2 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
