In a split 4-3 vote, Jim Kober was elected the 2013-2014 President of the Mount Vernon School Board over Steve Asay at the group’s regular meeting Tuesday, May 14.
“Marilyn has done an excellent job in leading the board and with her leadership, we have accomplished many great things,” Mr. Kober said. “I hope the board can continue to work as a cohesive unit so that we can continue to serve our district and our students,” he added.
