Sandra Kay CaseySandra (Sandee) Kay Casey of Mount Vernon, Texas, passed away at age 70, into the arms of God on September 9th, 2017.

She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on May 28, 1947. She attended schools in Tulsa and Shawnee Mission, KS and then attended the University of Kansas until graduating in 1969. While at KU. She was active in the Pi Beta Phi Sorority and was Head Cheerleader of the cheerleading squad.  Sandee was not only blessed with beautiful looks but a beautiful heart which led her to being selected as Miss KU, Miss Kansas City, Kansas and runner up for Miss Kansas.  
The major part of her business career was in sales and sales management with IBM and Apple Computer. She helped to expand Apple’s computer business throughout Texas.  After a lengthy career at Apple, she started her own sales training business and traveled throughout the US and Asia training new sales people with Apple Computer. After she and her husband, Larry, retired in 2010 they moved from Dallas to a home on Lake Cypress Springs in East Texas to enjoy their retirement years.  
The children in the family loved to go to Sandee’s lake house where she would always have some form of planned entertainment, competition and surprises for them to enjoy. Sandee loved to celebrate the major holidays of the seasons. When they lived in Dallas it was not uncommon for 200 to 300 children to show up at her home for Halloween. She dressed up as a clown and had eerie music playing over loud speakers. She also was very active in the First United Methodist Church of Mount Vernon, the Shakespeare Club in East Texas and various charities.
She was preceded in death by her Father Charles (Bill) Glenn and Mother, Wilma (Billie) Greenhill Glenn. She is survived by her husband Larry Casey, having been married for 36 eventful and exciting years. Other survivors include a sister Patti, of Groveland, CA., a step daughter, Kelly Stuart and her husband Larry, their daughters Sommerly and Shannon of Scottsdale AZ., a step son, Kent Casey his wife Kim, their son Ben and daughters Peyton and Lila of  Dallas, TX, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating Sandee’s life will be held at First United Methodist Church of Mount Vernon on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will be after the service in the church Family Life Center.
