Harvey Kenemore

Graveside services for Harvey Jack Kenemore, age 77 of Scroggins, were Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017 at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.

Mr. Kenemore was born Sept. 6, 1940 in Sulphur Springs, Tex. to Lethal Lee and Vivian Voss Kenemore. He joined the United States Navy after high school where he received numerous commendations and primarily served as a submariner during the Cuban Missile Crisis. While in the Navy, he received extensive training in counseling, which began his lifelong career as a marriage and family counselor and drug addiction counselor.
He married Joyce Youngman, on Oct. 28, 1961 in Merced, Calif. He attended the North Ridge Church of Christ and was a member of the Lion’s Club.
He died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, JoElla Powell and Laura Hundley.
He is survived by his wife, one son, Valton Lee Kenemore, and wife Yuri, of Scroggins; one daughter, Valorie Lee Kenemore of Scroggins; one brother, Robert Kenemore of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Tommie Raines of Sulphur Springs and Frances Goldsmith of San Marcos; seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and by a host of other relatives and very special friends.
