Shirley Clay

Funeral services for Shirley D. Clay, age 71, formerly of Purley, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2018 in the Chapel at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at the Weaver Cemetery in Weaver, Tex.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Clay was born July 5, 1947 in Salinas, Cali. to Edmond and Ruby Guillemin.
She was a member of the Weaver Baptist Church and a respiratory therapist at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Winnsboro. Together with her husband, she worked as a paramedic in the Dallas area, as well as the East Texas area and Georgia. She also served as a dispatcher for the sheriff’s department in Georgia.
She died Friday, July 27, 2018.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, James Kenneth Clay of Pittsburg; daughters, Tammy and Vincent Hendricksmeyer of Purley, Michelle and Benjamin Baker of Longview, and Shelley and John Jefferson of Ariz.; a sister Gail and her husband Richard McCormick of Cottonwood, Cali.; eight grandchildren and a great grandchild.
