Funeral services for Yolanda Castro Alcaraz, age 45 of Saltillo ,were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mount Vernon with Rev. Susia Avula officiating.
Burial was in the Old Saltillo Cemetery.
Mrs. Alcarez was born on May 11, 1965 in Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico, the daughter of Jorge and Catalina Caldera Castro. She married Lorenzo Alcarza, Jr. on April 25, 1983 in Mount Vernon. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011 at the Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by an infant, sister Norma Castro, her paternal grandparents and her maternal grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, her son, Jorge Castro, Jr.; and a daughter; Veronica Alcaraz, both of Saltillo; her parents, Jorge and Catalina Castro of Mount Vernon; her brothers, Juan, Raul, Javier and Luis Castro, all of Mount Vernon; her sisters; Marta and Ortencia Castro of Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico and Gregoria Castro of Fresnillo, Zacatecas; and her maternal grandfather, Ignacio Caldera of Zacatecas, Mexico.
Pallbearers were Jorge Castro, Jr., Juan Castro, Raul Castro, Javier Castro, Marco Alcaraz, and Alberto Alcaraz.
