Graveside services for Oleta Joyce Smith Tickle, age 81 of Eden, Tex., will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2013 at the Sulphur Bluff Cemetery in Sulphur Bluff, Tex.
Mrs. Tickle was born Feb. 29, 1932. She was a retired home economics teacher at Ballinger High School in Ballinger, Tex., and a first and second grade teacher at Stephen F. Austin Elementary School in San Angelo, Tex. Mrs. Tickle was a china painter and was past president of the San Angelo China Club.
She died on Sunday, April 14 in Covington, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mozelle Alexander Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Edwin Tickle of Eden, Tex; a daughter, Cynthia Jones of Covington, Tenn; a son, Richard Tickle of Lubbock, and a grandson and his wife of South Carolina.
