Tigers wallop Pewitt

The Mount Vernon Tigers baseball team walloped Paul Pewitt 15-3 last week with nine runs in the first two innings to put the game away early. They also defeated Chapel Hill.

Golf team claims district title

Golf team members Brady Watson, Tanner Patterson,  Kasey Cannaday, Bailey Floyd, and Layton Wright.The Mount Vernon High School golf team won the district championship on Thursday, April 2 in New Boston. They advanced to the regional tournament set for April 13 and 14 at Oakhurst Golf Club in Tyler.

Tiger tennis competes at district

The Mount Vernon High School tennis team competed at the district tournament in Hughes Springs April 9 and 10. Marshall Sweeden won fourth place in the varsity men's singles division.
