JV drops two to Hooks

The Mount Vernon Tigers junior varsity baseball team lost both games in a double header against Hooks on Monday, February 29. The score of the first game was 4-7 and the second was 1-2. For individual batting and pitching statistics, see the March 3 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.

Lady Tigers defeat Winnsboro, finish season as Regional Semifinalits

The Mount Vernon Lady Tigers celebrate their 50-44 victory of Winnsboro.The Mount Vernon Lady Tigers varsity basketball team finished their season as Regional Semifinalists. They fell in their final game to Grandview on Friday, February 26.
