Tigers prepare to take on Wildcats

Rey Perales carries the ball for the Mount Vernon Tiger football team. The group will be hosts for the Rains Wildcats on Friday, Aug. 30 at 7:30 p.m. at Don Meredith Stadium.

In their final test before beginning their 2013 season, the Tiger football teams traveled to the Van for a scrimmage last Thursday and played the larger 3A school to a 0-0 draw. For more information, see the Aug. 29 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
