Bass Fishing team members, front row, Will Gamblin, Lee Reeves, Landon Wallace, back row, Brent Baird, Tyler Cooper, and Kaden Proffitt.The Franklin County High School Bass Fishing team placed fifth overall out of 105 schools at the State Championship tournament.

Three local teams fished at the tournament on Lake Sam Rayburn May 19 and 20 against 221 other teams. For a listing of how each team placed, see the May 31 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
